Mission

Through educational, cultural, artistic and oral history projects and programming, the Comstock Residents Association (CRA) will serve as citizen stewards of the Virginia City National Historic Landmark, including the timeless, cultural communities of Virginia City, Gold Hill, Silver City and Dayton NV.

Vision

The Virginia City National Historic Landmark received its federal landmark designation from the Secretary of the Department of Interior in 1961, an honor unrivaled in Nevada’s historic preservation successes.  The Landmark consists of 17,000 plus acres of historic and prehistoric land forms, archaeologically sensitive artifacts, an impressive cultural landscape, historic buildings and historic towns nestled in a stunning visual landscape.  CRA vision is to provide the necessary advocacy that ensures that the Landmark and its invaluable, irreplaceable assets are protected.
